Hello
I was looking at your home that was built on a steep slope and wanted to see if you thought it was worth the hassle. I am an owner of a very steep lot in Homer Alaska with a wonderful view but now that I am talking with contractors, I am finding out that l may be limited to what I can build due to how tall the foundation will be. My house foundation will only extend out 22-24 ft and span the length of 52′. It seems like a narrow long home and to top it off my garage is similar to the issue you faced with yours. I will be using engineered joist and having a big space underneath the garage. My other issue is how to place the garage because of the property line it pretty much has to be in the same line as my home. Now it will look like a 75′ x 24′ home with a garage. I am wondering if you have any home ideas and garage plans to maximize my space. Also I wanted to see how deep your house is and design to get an idea of how we would pour our foundation. I appreciate any suggestions or info you may have.
Thanks,
Donald Maxon
